Obituary for Frances Phelps Joyner

Frances Phelps Joyner, 74, of Louisburg transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Transitions LifeCare. She was born on September 15, 1945 to the late J. Tommy and Mozelle Shearon Phelps. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Douglas Joyner, son, Terry Joyner, sister, Betty Jean Stevenson and her brother Thomas Phelps. She loved her family and grandkids dearly. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a great cook and she liked gardening, sewing, caring for her dog, Tippy and she enjoyed watching birds being especially fond of cardinals.

The family will receive friends Friday night from 7 to 8:30 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd, Louisburg. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ryan Ellington officiating

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Edwards (JB); sons Chris Joyner and David Joyner; grandchildren, Bryan Edwards, Kristen and Aubrey Joyner; great grandchild, Bryan Edwards, Jr.; brothers, Curtis, Douglas, Jimmy and Jerry Phelps and a special friend of 18 years, Ernest Milton.
