Obituary for Donald Wayne Allen

Donald Wayne Allen, 77, of Kittrell passed away peacefully on November 6, 2020 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wives Carolyn Baker Allen and Carolyn Lowery Allen, stepson, Jones Wayne Hart Jr, brothers; Leamon Allen Jr., Bruce Allen, Clayton Allen, and Kenneth Allen.

Donald’s pride and joy were spending time with his family that he loved to the fullest. Donald loved to tinker with McCormick Farmall tractors. He also enjoyed the outdoors where he would often find time to hunt, fish, or just cruise around his farm on his golf cart with his dogs J.R. and Rocky.

Donald was a member of the Youngsville Masonic Lodge 377 A.F. & A.M.

He was a man of his word. He always said “a man is only as good as his word. So, if he gave you his word, it was being set in stone”.

He is Survived by his loving daughter, Karen Allen Cooke (Joseph); grandchildren, Lindsey Cooke (Kristen), Wesley Cooke; great-grandson, Wyatt Cooke; sisters, Bobbie Driver, Betty Sue Berry, Alice Jones, Glenda Moody; brothers, Ricky Allen, Timothy Allen.
