Obituary for H. Richard "Ricky" Callahan, Jr.

Homer “Ricky” Richard Callahan, Jr. 60, of Castalia, passed away surrounded by family on October 26, 2020. He was born December 9, 1959 in Richmond County, a son of Homer Richard Callahan, Sr. and Elsie (Bittle) Callahan.

Ricky enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and riding around on his golf cart.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his children: Christina Moore and her husband, Justin, of Louisburg and Richard Callahan, Sr. and his wife, Teressa, of Spring Hope; the mother of his children, Candi Callahan, of Castalia, his grandchildren: Adeline Moore, of Louisburg, and Richard Callahan, Jr. of Spring Hope; his sisters: Patti Conner and her husband, Chuck, of Rockingham, and Diane Griffin, of Foxfire Village; a niece, Meagan Griffin, and two nephews: Chandler Conner and Shane Spencer.

A memorial service will be held privately for the family at Cedar Rock First Baptist Church, Louisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to, The American Cancer Society online at cancer.org.
