Obituary for Joseph Francis Dempsey III

Joseph Francis Dempsey, 74 of Louisburg passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. He was born on January 8, 1946 to the late Joseph Jr. and Anna Rohrer Dempsey.

Joe was the oldest of fourteen children; he served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a master craftsman, and a perfectionist with his carpentry. He was extremely social and known for his wit and humor. He loved his family and coached his five sons in sports.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg NC 27549.

Joe is survived by his wife, Stella Zanghi Dempsey; his five sons, Joseph, Kevin, Michael, Steven (Nikolle), and Christopher (Sydney); seven grandchildren, Kayla, Nicholas, Brianna, Colin, Gianna, Zoey, and Vincent; his brothers, Billy, Andy, George, Leo, Julie, Mike, and Jack ; and his sisters, Susie, Patsy, Lucky, Donna, Debbie, and Tracey .
