Obituary for Mary Ann Spencer (Riggan)

Mary Ann Riggan Spencer, 83, of Louisburg passed peacefully Tuesday, December 10, 2019. She was born on December 18, 1935 to the late William Lee and Fanny Chapin Harris Riggan. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Spencer, Sr.; son Robert “Robbie” Spencer, Jr.; daughter Teresa “Rita” Ann Spruill.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 1:00pm - 1:45pm at Trinity United Methodist Church where the funeral service will held at 2:00pm. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Andy Spencer; grandchildren, Miranda Lewis, Jamie Spencer, Drew Spencer (Crystal); great-grandchildren Summer Grace Allen, Autumn Faith Allen, Josie Lynn Anderson, Linkin Spencer, and Mason Brewer; brother John Riggan (Barbara); sister Catherine Abbott (Gary).

My great grandmother or known as mama and Mimi went to the mountains.there is on day I will never forget.we went to an acrade after we spent time with mimi then she went to a bluegrass singing.it was one of the most unforgettable days we had together.
