Obituary for Patsy Ruth Beardslee (Cross)

Patsy Ruth Cross Beardslee, 80 of New Caney, TX departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at her daughter’s home in NC. She was born on March 2, 1939 to the late Paul and Evalyn Gragg Cross. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jasmine Beardslee. Patsy was born and raised in San Antonio, TX and attended Jefferson and Northside high schools. Patsy and Stanley were married in 1959 and moved to Boerne in 1972. She worked in a variety of jobs including as an office manager for 2 different car dealerships, and The House Company. She was also a realtor and home appraiser for many years. While in Boerne, her and Stanley were very involved with the Kendall County Fair Association and were lifetime members and regular bowlers on Wednesday nights at the Boerne Turn Verein. She loved the ocean and going to the beach and enjoyed family trips during the summer to the Texas coast. She was always willing to lending a helping hand to everyone. After retirement she and Stanley moved to North Texas to live with their youngest daughter. While living there, they worked with special needs children in the Frisco ISD schools and spent many hours volunteering at their grandchildren’s school activities.

Services will be held at a later date.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; children, Chuck Beardslee (Veda), Denise Inglis (Robert), Wesley Beardslee (Krista), and, Shannon Vasilinda (Darryl), ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild.
