I remember asking Vickie for a recipe. A family recipe that I could make. We talked for a bit and she called out ingredients for a pork chop casserole. I was excited that I had a family recipe. I made the casserole and took it to Grandma Pace's house for a family dinner. It was TERRIBLE. Vickie pulled me aside: WHAT is it???? I said I made it just like you said. We realized we had put 2 recipes together and had them mixed up. We threw the whole thing out. So I would make the joke: want me to bring the Pork chop casserole? Everyone would say : nooooooooo. I never got the real recipe, but I never made it again like we wrote it down either.
Miss you Vickie. You had plenty of advice and support even circumstances were indifferent.
Thanks for being you. Peace be with the family.
