Obituary for William (Bill) Henry Cockayne, III

William (Bill) Henry, III, 88 of Louisburg transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his home. He was born in Berkeley, CA on May 16, 1932 to the late William Henry, Jr. and Thelma Cooper Cockayne. Bill attended Glendale High School in Glendale California and Woodbury College in Los Angeles, California before serving our country in the United State Army during the Korean War. He loved building, model airplanes and flying the RC planes that he built. He loved the beach where he enjoyed deep sea fishing.

He is survived by his wife Betty Cockayne; daughter, Stacey Westcott (Chris); step-daughter, Dawn Piercy; step-son, Gerald Piercy (Susan); brother, Bob Cockayne (Sally); grandsons, Justin Westcott (Darianne) and Joshua Westcott (Jeanette); step-grandchildren, Katie Piercy, Melanie Piercy and Alex Hunt (Jamie); great grandchildren, Judah, Joyia, Josiah, Charlie, Hunter and Grace and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at 4:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with Dr. Reverend Billy Seate officiating.
