William Francis Williams, 84, of Lake Royale departed this earthly life on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC. He was born on February 9, 1935 to the late Roy Charles and Anna Isabel Keeble Williams. William was a poet, author of screenplays, novels and essays and a popular DJ in the late 60’s at KMEN Radio in San Bernandino, CA., as well as other radio stations in southern California. He was a manager and record producer for songwriter Jimmy Webb, who wrote “Up Up and Away”. He loved writing, riding his Harley, flying his Cessna, Kauai, cars, reading and movies. Never at a loss for words, he was a great story teller and could make anyone laugh. His motto was IFIAFFI, if it ain’t fun f… it!

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia “Patsy” Houser Williams; daughter, Kristy Ann Williams; son, Gregg Randolph Williams; step-daughter, Nicole Carrick Williams; step-son, Jason Carrick; grandchildren, Justin Randolph Williams, Zoe Grace Carrick, Megan Elisabeth Carrick, and Sydney Faith Carrick.
